The second of four half-term workshops in which musicians of African heritage share some of their music and techniques, and encourage the students to improvise and/or create their own pieces in response.
Led by griot (traditional masters whose skills are passed on from generation to generation), kora-player Moussa Djembele from Burkina Faso explores the musical culture common to his country Burkina Faso and neighbouring countries in West Africa.
Admission free, open to musicians aged 12-21, of any cultural background, and playing any instrument, whether Western or global.
