Tony Haynes co-founded Grand Union in 1982. He publishes monthly essays on his work in his blog, which gives detailed insights into how Grand Union’s repertoire is put together, his composition techniques, the context behind the Orchestra’s live shows and albums, and the background of its artists.
His art is compelling music theatre, in which storytelling is an essential part and the lived experience of the performers, and collaborates with writers, poets and lyricists from across the world.
