The core of the Grand Union Orchestra’s repertoire comes from a series of spectacular themed shows by Tony Haynes which have successively toured the UK for over 40 years. Many of these were recorded live and broadcast by BBC Radio 3, and subsequently released on CD. They can be heard in their entirety as ALBUMS, collected below.

LISTEN features a variety of songs and instrumental numbers taken from the core repertoire, together with versions of traditional songs or ‘standards’ worldwide, collected as a separate album, Made by Human Hands. A further selection of numbers by musicians from different musical cultures appear on Around the World in 80 minutes (see under ALBUMS) and a sampler 12 for 12.

WATCH contains videos of many of these songs, and longer dramatic numbers from the big shows. There is also a 30-minute documentary of a Grand Union tour to Bangladesh, and a short film paying tribute to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the ‘father’ of modern Bangladesh, featuring Bengali artists.
