Last in the series of half-term workshops n which musicians of African heritage share some of their music and techniques, and encourage the students to improvise and/or create their own pieces in response.

The Song of Africa programme is directed by South African-born trumpeter and percussionist Claude Deppa, who now gets a session to himself! Along with Francis Fuster – regular percussionist in the bands of the legendary High Masakela – they explore the music of the South African diaspora, and the legacy of apartheid,

Admission free, open to musicians aged 12-21, of any cultural background, and playing any instrument, whether Western or global.
