2024 The Summer of Multiculturalism

Over the winter months, we have taken a sabbatical to review our work and plan our future programme.

We are now busy sowing the seeds for a spirited Spring and Summer and planning a robust, positive case for multiculturalism with celebratory work that creates unity.

We shall announce details of this over Easter.

We are also restructuring the company, with our composer, creative director, and driving force for 40 years, Tony Haynes, stepping back from day-to-day management.

Our main priority is to nurture a younger cohort of musicians, potentially the next generation of Grand Union Orchestra professionals and the culturally diverse workforce of the future.

This is a group who reflect the heritage and instruments of a core team, who will in turn pass on their skills. These are not only major global musical traditions but also workshop techniques working with people of all ages and levels of experience.
