Self taught, Chris worked with Red Brass from 1975-79. He joined the composer/band leader Mike Westbrook in 1979 and played in many of his projects.

As well as performing with Grand Union, Chris has toured and recorded with numerous artists such as George Russell, Andy Sheppard, Chris McGregor, Didier Levallet, Hermeto Pascoal, Dewey Redman, Kenny Wheeler, and the New York Composers Orchestra co-led by Wayne Horvitz and Marty Erlich.

In 1988, he formed ‘Full Monte’ in collaboration with Brian Godding, Marcio Mattos and Tony Marsh. He later performed alongside Harry Beckett in the Orchestre National de Jazz for three years.

Recently he has performed and recorded with Liam Noble, Ben Davis and Loz Speyer, and collaborated with Fire Collective members Ingrid Laubrock and Seb Rochford.

The Chris Biscoe Quartet featuring Tony Kofi released its first CD, Gone in the Air: The Music of Eric Dolphy, in 2008 and has a growing reputation.
