Abass Dodoo is a master drummer and percussionist.

He was taught to drum in Ghana by his grandmother, Abiba Okailey Ablah. He was mentored by his uncle Mustapha Tettey Addy, a master drummer, anthropologist and researcher in traditional Ghanaian music and dance.

Abass has performed with the Royal Drums Of Ghana, Ginger Baker, Adzido Dance Ensemble, Pan-African Orchestra, George Dzikunu, Royal Shakespeare Company and more.

In 2007, Abass founded One Drum, to promote his distinct style of African drumming focusing on complex polyrhythmic beats. He runs educational workshops for people of all ages and abilities to participate in dynamic Ghanaian music and dance.
