Ros Davies

​Wales. Trombone, flute, voice

A multi-instrumentalist, Ros has a music degree from York University. She has been a member of Grand Union since the very beginning, and besides being a core member of the Orchestra and of the workshop team, she takes a leading role in helping to devise, organise and run Grand Union’s programme of workshops and participatory projects and developing work with refugee and asylum seekers across the UK. In 2007, Ros became GU workshop leader with The Newham World Choir and more recently for the ‘Ten Chopsticks’ project as part of The Spitalfields Festival 2008. She is a founder-member and key performer with the Bollywood Brass Band and Emergency Exit Arts’ street band Crocodile Style; in addition she does school concerts and workshops with all-woman group Transisters, and has taught both instrumental and class music in schools.
