Grand Union delights in creating work to celebrate special occasions and especially for festivals.
On Liberation Street was commissioned by a consortium in Leeds to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of the second World War (finale below left); and our many international projects often have a similar genesis (highlights from recent work in Portugal below right):
For the annual Boishakhi Mela in 2012, Tower Hamlets commissioned Grand Union to collaborate with three popular singers from Bangladesh - here is one number (left), others appear on our video page. When We Left (filmed at Sadler's Wells) commemorates the 30th anniversary of the coup in Chile (right):
